Robinvale,
a town of 1800, supporting a district population of 4000, is situated on the
Murray River 480 kilometres north west of Melbourne. Robinvale Consolidated
School supports a population including Aboriginal, Greek, Polynesian, Asian
and Italian cultures.
The main industries of the area are grapes, olives, nuts, fruit and
vegetable growing with wheat and sheep outside the settlement area.
Robinvale Consolidated School shares a common boundary with Robinvale
Secondary College and is set in six hectares of attractive and functional
grounds. The school is well resourced through community and staff commitment.
Classes are supported by comprehensive curriculum, a well stocked Curriculum
Resource Centre, Art/Craft, Music and Computer lab as well as an Aboriginal
Resource Centre. The school has completed development of a large multi
purpose facility and a indoor heated swimming pool.
Classes are predominantly a composite of year levels with selected
children supported by Reading Recovery, an ESL Program, and individually
constructed integration programs support identified children.
